I had a great time last night at the 2014 San Diego Book Awards ceremony where White Gloves and Collards was a finalist in the category of memoir.

It was great to share White Gloves and Collards with friends, family, and other readers at the Barker House in Edenton, Quail Ridge Books & Music in Raleigh, McIntyre's Books in Fearrington Village, and Park Road Books in Charlotte (see slide show below).
